The Application Technician performs chemical and fertilizer applications on general resort grounds. The application technician is responsible for reading, understanding and keeping current with all product labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). This position is also responsible for maintaining product inventories and compiling preliminary reports of product usage. In addition to application responsibilities he/she will be empowered to supervise associates below his/her hierarchy level and make operational decisions at a level specified by the supervisors.
Performs routine safety inspections on all application equipment.
Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or helpers.

High School diploma or GED.
Ability to maintain a valid Texas driver's license, and with satisfactory MVR for insurability.
Must have completed training requirements as demanded by the state and federal governments, including those required by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Ability to maintain a valid Texas driver's license, and with satisfactory MVR for insurability.
Ability to learn, use and operate regularly a computer.
Ability to read and comprehend all product labels.
Ability to physically lift and handle plant protectant and fertilizer products commonly used for turf grass maintenance.
Ability to use 2-way radios.
Must have neat and pleasant overall appearance and maintain good sanitary and personal hygiene practices.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
